This could be a cheap solution to pretty high system requirements. A computer for doing homework should have a good modem as you need the internet access for research. You might also want a good modem in order for you to download music & Game from the Internet. For homework you need a basic printer as well. Games would demand for high video and sound cards. There should be an AGP slot in order for students to upgrade their computer if they would like to. RAM(random access memory.)should be pretty high because you do not want to have your games to be slow while you are playing. Also, you might want a pretty big hard drive so that it would fit all your stuff suggest to buy a hard drive over these days. A student wouldn't really need a rewritable DVD drive, a CD-RW would be enough, especially considering their budget. The processor and CPU must be pretty normal.
